What is Imaan?
Imaan is:
Aamantu billahi kamaa huwa bi – asmaa – ihee wasifatihee waqabiltu jamee – ‘a ahkamih
Meaning:
I bring Imaan upon Allah as he is and bring Imaan on his Name and attributes and bring Imaan on his Character, Nature, and Quality. And I accept all the Command, law, value, ordinance or ruling of Shari'ah (Islamic law).
This is what Imaan is about i.e. to have faith in Allah and that he truly is the Almighty and surpassing.
Imaan is:
Aamantu billahi wamalaaikatihee wakutubihi warusulihee walyaumil aakhiri yuhyee wayumeetu biyadihil khair wahuwa alaa kulli shai – in qadeer
Meaning:
The above meaning of Imaan is the Second half which of Imaan. Which means the total of Imaan is both Imaan-e-Mujmal & Imaan-e-Mufassil. Imaan-e-mufassil means having Imaan on Allah Ta’ala the Almighty and on his Angel i.e.
1) Hazrat Jibreel A.S
2) Hazrat Meekaaeel A.S
3) Hazrat Israfeel A.S
4) Hazrat Izraaeel A.S
And on his Books i.e.
1) Taurait
2) Zaboor
3) Injeel
4) Quran Majeed
And on all the Prophets that they are the ones send by Allah for the Development of Humanity. And Bring Imaan upon the Day of Resurrection that we all will come Again to life after death, and that this is the truth which will happen. And bring Imaan upon the Destiny that it is the Allah who decides the destiny whether it is good or bad.
